RE: CELL PHONE INTERNET ACCESS

I guess that eliminates my plan to try vcast for 1x access. If I didn't like Verizon for their voice service, I'd look elsewhere as I think BB access is cheaper elsewhere.

RE: grease seals

12.16 for two National Oil Seal brand at Carquest. 24.15 for two equivalent at NAPA. Double the price for the same product is more than a 'smidge'. I believe in paying a 'fair' price for things, but any more is better off in my pocket than than theirs..... Take Care

RE: grease seals

NAPA had my seals also, but I won't buy from them again. CarQuest only had 2 seals so I stopped at NAPA for two more and they were over TWICE the price. If they were better quality I maybe could see the difference, but that was not the case. Take Care

RE: Starcraft 21CK--Problem with Rotting Floor

When you were on the roof and Eternabonded, did you see any areas that looked like potential leak sources? Hope your repair experience is a good one. Take Care

RE: CELL PHONE INTERNET ACCESS

what is your current account, AMC or the NEW nationWide accounts the NW accounts are $1.99mb, unless you have a data feature on the account like vpak or BBA on the NW accounts all data is MB not minutes, its either pre-paid like vpak/vcast/BBA or its PER mb, $1.99 mb, $100 would be 50mb, at that charge rate, how many MB was listed ? I just updated my plan to a shared 700 minutes. Nationwide? I think my old plan was Americas Choice but has been changed to the most current.

RE: Starcraft 21CK--Problem with Rotting Floor

Now I'd wonder where the water was coming from. Likely not up from the bottom, but down fron the top. You said you eternabonded the roof. What kind of problems did you see up there? Take Care P.S., I see you live in Ohio. Might be worth the drive back to the factory if you're not going to do it yourself.

RE: CELL PHONE INTERNET ACCESS

I set my LG 8300 up for 1x only last week and got national access for a week before 'not authorized' showed up when logging on. In the meantime, I chalked up 100 bucks in MB charges. I guess Verizon was keeping track before they cut me off. Mr Wizard, are you sure VCast doesn't charges minutes or MB's? Take Care

RE: back to factory

Don't know about Jayco but we picked up our '00 Holiday Rambler last month from having the roof replaced at Monaco in Wakarusa, IN. The experience was great and they did a top notch repair. It was also cheaper than a local quote even though the shop rate was higher. Two ceiling panels that the local shop was going to replace from the inside (removing cabinets, etc) were accessable from the top when the roof was removed, thus saving time. Good luck with your repair. I think you'll be pleased.

RE: Pressure washing (or not)

The 'trick to using a pressure washer is avoiding potential problem areas, like around decals, window or other seals. They require a 'touch' and can be dangerous if used carelessly. Take Care

RE: Lets talk fuel economy and ways to improve.

Good luck finding ANY gasoline w/o ethanol in it. Since MTBE was outlawed, the only oxygenator (I believe) is 10% ethanol.

RE: Water System in old TT

I sanitize the system with the mild bleach solution once in the Spring after clearing the antifreeze out after storage. I have a faucet mounted PUR filter on the kitchen faucet that we use during the season and we fill a drinking water jug from it that we keep in the fridge. The carbon filter takes the 'taste' out of the water just fine. Take Care

RE: Lets talk fuel economy and ways to improve.

I think everyone who asks this question already knows the answer. Properly inflated tires, a well tuned engine, easy on (and off) the accelerator, and SLOW DOWN. Gas pills, additives, 'cold air intakes', fuel line 'magnets', and other scams are just that and as long as take care of the above items, you'll be doing the best you can to optimize the potential of your vehicle. I totally disagree with the negative posts about truck drivers........ My statements above are not IMHO they are fact....... More and more, 'fact' is a state of mind. :R Take Care

RE: Semi's passing

I understand the 'slow pass' action due to speed limiters and such. What I don't understand is coming up in the left lane to a couple trucks in the right lane and the trailing one pulls out into the left lane forcing me to hit the brakes and wait for the 'slow pass'. This happens A LOT. With not another vehicle in sight behind us in EITHER lane. This must be a maneuver taught in truck driver training school. :S Take Care

RE: Verizon "New Every Two" Question

On other thing I have done several times is to purchase phones on Ebay that are Verizon phones...not a problem so far... What does this mean? Do the phones you purchase work any differently than posted above? Thanks
